Peacefully at the Louth County Hospital, Dundalk. John F. ex second battalion Irish Army and Congo Veteran, also All Army Cross Country Champion, 1957 and All Ireland Cross Country Champion.
Husband of Lena, deeply regretted by his wife and family Julie, Johnny, Sarah, Stephen and Noeleen and their partners, grandchildren, brothers Tom, Jimmy, Brigie, Maura, Noel, Kevin, Imelda and Ann, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Rest in Peace
Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes from 5pm to 7pm on Sunday and from 5pm to 7pm on Monday and from 4.30pm on Tuesday with removal on Tuesday evening at 6.30pm driving to Holy Family Church, Ballsgrove arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am. Burial afterwards in Dysart Cemetery.
