On August 25th 2024, JOHN peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family in the Palliative Care Unit at Bantry General Hospital, beloved husband of Winnie, loving father of Irene and Norma, much loved granda of Emma and Harry, adored great-granda of Leo, dear brother of Mary, Maudie and Robert. Sadly missed by his heart broken wife and family, Emma’s partner Lewys, brothers-in-law Tony, Robert and Tadhg, sister-in-law Ena, nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel St, Bantry on Monday August. 26th from 5pm to 7pm with vigil prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday August. 27th at 12noon at St Finbarr’s Church, Bantry (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in the Abbey Cemetery.
