John Fennessy

John Fennessy, ex staff UNRWA (Vienna, Lebanon and Jordan), ICTP (Trieste, Italy), and OSCE (Macedonia and Kosovo), and formerly of Glasnevin, Dublin passed away peacefully in the care of the Donau Klinik Vienna on 21st May, 2023.

Beloved husband of Jacinta and dearly loved and loving father of Marie-Claire and John. Predeceased by his siblings Rev. Fr. Andrew (Melbourne), Maureen (Perth), Desmond and Teresa (Dublin). Sadly missed by his sisters, Ellen (Melbourne) and Sr. Bernadette D.C. (Dublin), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, John’s partner Orla Doyle, extended family, friends, former colleagues and neighbours.

John’s funeral Mass will take place in the Church of S.S. Eithne and Fidelma, Tulsk, Co. Roscommon, at 11:30am on Thursday, 8th June, followed by interment in Kilcooley Cemetery.
