FITZGIBBON (Cork) On 18th October, 2024, peacefully, in the presence of his loving family and in the tender care of the staff at Marymount University Hospital and Hospice, JOHN (The Gardener)(Alias John The Block), Shanakiel and late of Ardmore Avenue, Knocknaheeny. Dearly beloved partner of Marion and loving father of Daniel, Alan, Eric and Denis, husband of the late Mary, father of Martin, Anne and Laura, dearest brother of Mary, Mick, Dan, Rita, Eddie, Noreen, Patrick and Denis, loving son of the late John and Maura. Sadly missed by his loving family, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended families, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Coughlan’s Funeral Home, Shandon Street on Monday (21st October) from 10.00am, family in attendance from 4.00pm with Rosary and prayers at 5.00pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday (22nd October) at 10.00am in St. Mary’s on the Hill Church, Knocknaheeny. Funeral afterwards to The Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy. No flowers, donations if desired, to Marymount Hospice.
