John Gerard (Gerry) Flaherty

Formerly of Woodquay.

 

Gerry died peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Galway University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Beloved husband of the late Chris and much loved father of Maria. Gerry will be deeply mourned and sadly missed by his loving daughter, sister Rita, and brother Gabriel. Fondly remembered also by his nieces and nephews, the extended Flaherty and Tobin family, neighbours and many friends.

 

May his kind and gentle soul rest in peace

Funeral Arrangements

Thursday 22 May 2025:

Reposing at St. Pio's Room within the Sacred Heart Church, Seamus Quirke Road, Galway from 5.00 p.m. with Removal into the Church at 6.30 p.m.

Friday 23 May 2025:

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Gerry at 11.30 a.m. Following Mass he will be laid to rest with his beloved Chris in Rahoon cemetery.
