John Harrington

San Francisco, Bere Island & Cobh

 

On August 12th 2025 in the loving care of his family and surrounded by his dear friends.

Beloved son of the late Bernie and Nan Harrington, Cloughland, Bere Island and devoted partner of the late David Friedmann.

Much loved brother of Jerry, Catherine, Bernard, Mary, Liz, Jim, Ann, Margaret and Geraldine, sisters in law Noreen and Marian, brothers in law Danny, John, Martin and Noel and the late Desi, Damian, Kevin and Tommy.

Uncle John will be lovingly remembered by his 14 nephews and partners and by his 15 nieces and partners, his grand nephews and grand nieces, his dear and trusted cousin Nora and Tony Hall and family.

John will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his family, relatives and friends both in Ireland and the USA, especially his loyal employees Horacio and Octavia and his dear friends at the 440, Castro, San Francisco.

 

The Holy Rosary will be offered in celebration of John's life and for the happy repose of his soul on Tuesday 19th August 2025 in the Chapel at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, San Francisco, at 10.25am (local time) 6.25pm (Irish time)

 

Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 6th September at 2.30pm in St. Michael's Church, Bere Island with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
