John Harte

John Harte, formerly of Emmet Square & Moorpark Street, Birr, Co. Offaly, passed away peacefully on December 8th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of Birr Community Nursing Unit.

Predeceased by his wife Olive, his parents Michael & Annie, his brother Rody & sister Mary.

He will be sadly missed by his sons and daughters; Keith, Kerrie Anne, Shane, & Clionadh, daughter-in-law Rose, son-in-law Pat and Shane’s partner Sharleen, his grandchildren; Dan, Freya, Grace, Annie, Bella, Tierna & Theo, his brothers Donal, Noel & Michael and his sister Anne (Lockhart). Lovingly remembered by his extended family, relatives, friends and the staff and residents of Birr Community Nursing Unit

May his kind & gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Boyd’s funeral home on Sunday 4.30pm - 7pm. Removal from his son Keith’s home on Monday morning to arrive at St. Brendan’s Church, Birr at 10.45a.m for Funeral Mass at 11a.m. followed by burial in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr.
