John Hayes

John Hayes, Alacken, Cavan and formerly Clonakilty, Co.Cork, Monday December 22nd 2025, peacefully in the loving care of his family and the wonderful staff at Cavan General Hospital. Beloved son of the late Paddy and Bridie Hayes, Rossa St, Clonakilty, Co.Cork and predeceased by his late wife Maureen and his brothers Michael (Skibbereen) and Jim (Clonakilty).

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Marion (Mc Glennon) and his children John (Emma), Antonia (Paul) and Richard (Averil), his adored grandchildren Conor, Oisín, Patrick, Amy, Aoife and Liam. Sadly missed by his brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, all his extended family, his many good neighbours and friends, including those in the Department of Social Protection, Co.Cavan Camogie and various other committee's and voluntary organisations.

Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821) on Saturday next (27th) from 6pm and concluding with prayers at 8pm. John's Funeral Mass will take place on Sunday (28th) in St.Brigid's Church, Killygarry at 2pm and this will be followed by interment in the adjoining Cemetery. John's Funeral Mass will be available to view live and the link will be posted here when it's available.

The Hayes family would like to thank the incredible staff of Medical 2, Cavan General Hospital for their help and support during John's short illness where he spent the last few weeks. Their kindness and compassion is sincerely appreciated.
