John HEFFERNAN

John Heffernan of Tomard, Milford, Co. Carlow and formerly Goresbridge, Co Kilkenny passed away peacefully, in his 86th year after a short illness, on August 13th, 2025, at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.

Beloved husband of the late Ann (Nan) and much loved father of Patricia, Tony and Brendan.

He will be sadly missed by his loving sons, daughter, son-in-law Niall, Brendan’s partner Claire, extended family, relatives, good neighbours and friends

May John’s Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Graiguecullen, Carlow (Eircode R93 ET80) from 4pm on Friday (August 15th) until 7pm, with Prayers at 6.30p.m that evening. Removal on Saturday at 10.30a.m. to St Fintan’s Church, Ballinabranna, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

John’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Surgical One Ward, St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny for their excellent and compassionate care of John during his illness.
