The death has occurred of
John Hickey
Hickey, (Coronea, Skibbereen) On March 2nd, 2026 peacefully at home in the presence of his devoted wife, extended family and friends. JOHN, beloved son of the late Paddy and Annie Hickey and loving brother of the late Tossie, Pat and Ted. Sadly missed by his loving wife Theresa (nee Cadogan), dear sister Peg (Jennings), brother Eugene, adored nieces and nephews Yvette, Rosaleen, Hazel, Marilyn, Aideen, Maeve, David, Pádraig and the late Adrian, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, sisters-in-law Mary, Rita and Nellie, brother-in-law Teddy, relatives, neighbours and his wide circle of loyal friends including those who shared his love of horses.

Reposing at Romie O'Donovan's Funeral Home, North Street, Skibbereen on Wednesday, 4th March from 5pm to 7.30pm followed by prayers. Requiem Mass on Thursday, 5th March at 11am in St.Patrick's Cathedral, Skibbereen livestreamed via http://Skibbereenandrath.ie Funeral afterwards to the Old Abbey Cemetery, Skibbereen.
Theresa would like to sincerely thank Dr. Gerard O'Shaughnessy and all the wonderful medical professionals involved in caring for John on his final journey.
