The death has occurred of
John ''Jack'' Dowling
On June 19th, 2025, peacefully in the presence of his family, in the wonderful care of the staff of Bantry General Hospital. JACK, beloved husband of the late Mary (O’Shea) and Grace (Murphy), adored father of Margaret, Seamus and Deirdre (Harrington), predeceased by his late parents James and Julia (O’Brien), dear brother of Paddy, Tony, the late Jim and Kevin. Sadly missed by his loving family, son-in-law Declan, daughter-in-law Agnieszka, grandchildren Hannah (and her husband Steven), Emma, Jack, Austin, Denise and Neilie, great-grandchildren Sean and Eabha, brother-in-law Jerry O'Shea, sisters-in-law Evelyn, Kathy, Mary and Margaret, nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbours, friends and his kind home help, Breda and Tracy.
May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel Street, Bantry on Friday June 20th from 6.30pm to 8pm with rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday June 21st at 11am at Sacred Heart Church, Glengarriff (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in Kilcaskin Cemetery, Adrigole. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired to The Friends of Bantry General Hospital, c/o Bantry General Hospital.
