John (Jack) Gardiner

John (Jack) Gardiner, Emeritus Professor of Forestry at UCD, late of Blackrock, Co. Dublin and formerly of Poulacapple, Mullinahone, Co Tipperary passed away suddenly, at home on Monday 15th December, 2025.Predeceased by his beloved wife Brenda and Grandson Darragh, loving father of Martina, Ed, John, Bob and Cathy. Father-in-law to Kevin, Bern, Catriona, Roisin and John. Cherished Grandad of Cormac, Kate, Eoin, Thomas, Eliot, Hannah, Rian, Tadgh, Fionn and Sadhbh.

Predeceased by his brother Michael, sisters Beatty, Kathleen and Nellie. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Jim and Eamonn, sisters Mary and Anne, extended Gardiner and O’Gorman families and his many great friends and neighbours.

Jack will be reposing at his home on Thursday December 18th from 5.30pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday December 19th 2025, at 10am in St. Brigid’s Church, Cabinteely followed by burial in Deans Grange Cemetery.
