John (Jackie) Garvey

Formerly of Coose, Whitegate, Co. Clare who passed away peacefully on December 26th, aged 85 years, after a short illness bravely borne and in the tender care of his loving family and the staff at The Residence Nursing Home, Maynooth. Predeceased by his parents John and Catherine and his brothers Noel, Micheal and Patrick.

John, beloved husband to Rosaleen (née Flynn), and dearly loved father of Stephen and Maura. Sadly missed by Rosaleen, Stephen and Maura, his daughter-in-law Kathryn, son-in-law Robert, his loving grandchildren Alanna, Laoise, Rian and Luca, his brothers Vincent (Coose) and Aidan (Maynooth), his sisters Pauline, Kathleen and Mairead (USA), his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends, and sadly missed by his dear carer and friend Shadia.

May John’s gentle soul Rest In Peace.

John will repose in Wm. Ryan & Sons Funeral Home, Church St., Kilcock (w23 xc90 - entrance at Books & Gifts) on Monday 29th December between 5-7pm, with removal at 7pm arriving at St. Coca’s Church, Kilcock at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass at 12pm on Tuesday 30th in St. Coca’s Church after which John will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s cemetery, Kilcock.

John’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to extended family, neighbours and friends for all of their support over this difficult time, for the care he received during his short time in Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown and at The Residence Nursing Home Maynooth, and to his wonderful carer Shadia for all her years care and kindness.
