The death has occurred of
JOHN JAMES (JIM) McCarthy
McCARTHY, John James (Jim) Sandymount, Dublin and formerly from Cork; 4th January 2021 (peacefully) in the wonderful care of all the staff at St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Beloved husband of Helen and much loved father of Damian, Karen and Paul and the late John. He will be sadly missed by his family his brother Eddie, sisters Helen and Catherine, grandchildren Daniel, Sam, Oisín, Hollie, Hazel, Jack and Remy, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family would like to acknowledge the care received from Dr. Matthew Barrett and the Heart Failure Unit at St. Michael’s Hospital, Dun Laoghaire and Jim’s G.P. Dr. Ian O’Grady.
Due to government guidelines on public gatherings, a private family Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, 7th of January 2021, at 3.45 pm in the Garden Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross which can be viewed on the following link https://vimeo.com/event/139693.
Please note the funeral cortege will be passing by Sandymount Village at 3.15 pm approximately on Thursday afternoon en Route to Mount Jerome. For those who wish to leave messages for Jim’s family may do so in the Condolence book open below.
