The death has occurred of
John James MCCARTHY
(JJ in Oughterard and Galway; Terenure, Dublin 6W), dearly loved husband of Mary Cahill, and son of the late Mary Frances and Paddy McCarthy, on 19th April 2023, in the gentle care of Our Lady’s Hospice, Dublin, after a short and devastating illness very bravely borne. John will be much missed by his wife, Mary, his family and his friends in Galway, Dublin and Cashel, Co. Tipperary.
Rest in Peace.
Reposing at his home on Tuesday 25th April from 5.00-7.00 pm. John’s funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday 26th April at 11.30 a.m. in the church of St Pius X, College Drive, Dublin 6W, followed by cremation at Mt Jerome, Harold’s Cross, Dublin 6W. To acknowledge the roles of Our Lady’s Hospice and St James’s Hospital in caring for John, donations instead of flowers would be very much appreciated.
