Peacefully, surrounded by his family and under the kind care of Carna Nursing Home, following a long illness. Deeply mourned by his loving wife Danielle, his two sons Tristan and Oisin, grandson Cassian, his sisters Rozenn, Benig, Olwen and his brother Erwan. He will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends.
Geologist and oceanographer, an innovator in the shellfish industry and an active member of the local community, dedicated to many campaigns for peace and justice in the world.

Reposing in Our Lady Star Of The Sea Church, Claddaghduff, on Sunday, the 14th of January, from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral service for John on Monday the 15th of January (Our Lady Star of The Sea Church, Claddaghduff) at 11am followed by reception in the station house hotel at 1pm.
Private cremation to take place on Tuesday the 16th at 2pm in Shannon Crematorium.
