On April 16th John Joe (62 yrs.) died surrounded by his family. Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his heartbroken family; by his beloved wife Pat, who took such tremendous care of him during his illness, by his children Deirdra (Jeremy), Brian (Sarah) by his stepchildren Vanessa (Scott), Neil (Francessca) and Brad (Kristina), by his mother Bridie and siblings Mike (Breege), Breda (Glenn), Gerry (Rosie) and brother-in-law Des; by his grandchildren Liana, Evan, Collins and Casey, step-grandchildren Marisa, Noah, Valentina, Alessandra and Abigail, nieces and nephews Ronan, Ailish, Darragh, Rachael, Aideen, Ailbhe and Aoife, grandnephew Rían; and by his extended family and many friends. Welcomed into heaven by his father John, sister Bernie and stepson Ross.

John Joe spent years navigating the waters on fishing boats, where he found solace and joy in the rhythm of the sea, he transitioned into his next adventure as an 18-wheel truck driver. With the same steady hand and determination that once guided boats through stormy seas, he spent his later years guiding his big rig across many highways, always enjoying the peaceful and rhythmic hum of the road. Whether on the water or the asphalt, John Joe always embraced the adventure and now, as he takes his final journey with the steering wheel back in his hands and the open road ahead, it is as he would have wanted.
