John Joe Murphy, Kilquire, Kilmaine, Co. Mayo, 30th November 2023, peacefully after a short illness in the wonderful care of the staff of Mayo Roscommon Hospice. Predeceased by his parents Jack & Nellie Murphy. John Joe will be deeply missed by his devoted wife Gretta, his children Declan (Milltown), Alan (Milltown), Paula (May), Sandra (Galvin), and John, sons-in-law Des and Caoimhín, daughters-in-law Mary, Joanne and Saoirse, his 13 cherished grandchildren Oisín, Cian, Sahra, Maeve, Laoise, Ailbhe, Cara, Odhran, Aoibh, Alex, Neasa, Cillian and Orna, sister Maura Kelly, brother-in-law Pat, nephews, nieces, relatives, wonderful neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Cummins Funeral Home, Ballinrobe (F31 X236) on Saturday, December 2nd from 4.30 pm to 7 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated for John Joe on Sunday, December 3rd, in St Patrick’s Church, Kilmaine (F31 A348) at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Kilmaine Cemetery.
