John Joe Smith, Moat, Oldcastle, Co. Meath, 7th January 2026, in the dedicated care of Sheelin Nursing Home. Predeceased by his daughter Cáit, parents Mary and Peter, brothers Pat, Charlie, Peter, Michael, sisters Mary Kate, Angela, Anna and Bridget.
Sadly missed by his wife Catherine, his son Peter, daughters Mary, Dolores, Nuala and Paula, granddaughter Róisín, grandsons Eoin and Ronan, brother Noel, sister-in-law Miriam, sons-in-law Owen and John, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Removal to Sts. Brigid & Fiach’s Church, Ballinacree, on Thursday evening 8th January, arriving at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass on Friday Morning at 11:00am, burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
