The death has occurred of
John (Johnny) Connaughton
Connaughton, John (Johnny), Barrettstown House, Dysart, Co. Westmeath, formerly of Killiney, Co. Dublin and Ballymore, Co. Westmeath, January 14th 2026, peacefully at home in his 94th year surrounded by his loving and devoted family.
Beloved husband of Teresa, adored father of Julie, Laura, Darragh and Elizabeth, and brother to PJ.
Johnny will be very sadly missed by his wife, daughters, son, treasured grandchildren Saoirse, Cian, David, Sarah, Matthew, John-Paul and Peter, son-in-law Mark, daughter-in-law Victoria, nieces and nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
MAY HE REST IN PEACE
Reposing at his home on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 3pm - 7pm. House private thereafter.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 1pm, in the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar. The Mass may be viewed on the live webcam on the link below.
Burial private.
