John (Johnny) Scanlon

John (Johnny) Scanlon, Ballymacdonnell House, Currans, Farranfore, Co. Kerry. Peacefully, on June 1st 2021, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff of Muckross Ward and the Palliative Care Unit at U.H.K. Beloved husband of Betty and much loved father of Jimmy, Kieran, Bláthnaid and Liz. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife and family, sister Mary (Currans), brothers Bertie (Loughrea), Mike (Currans) and James (Currans), daughters-in-law Thérése and Sinéad, sons-in-law Ultan and John, his adored grandchildren Jack, Róisín, Caoimhe, Anna, Sarah, Aibhlinn, Diarmuid, Eoin and  Cillian, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

A Private family funeral will take place for Johnny with his Requiem Mass on Saturday morning at 11am in the Church of St's Therese and Colmcille, Currans. The Mass will be livestreamed on the Killeentierna Churches Facebook Page. Burial afterwards in Ardcrone Cemetery, Currans. Family flowers only, please. Please Note: The funeral cortège will depart Johnny's residence at 10.30am on Saturday morning en route to Currans Church and will depart the church at 12 noon en route to Ardcrone Cemetery.
