Wednesday 21st January 2026, peacefully in the exceptional care of all of the staff at the Ballinamore Community Nursing Unit.

 

Pre-deceased by his wife Rita, his parents Packie & Cecily, brother Paddy, sister-in-law Mary & his brother-in-law Paddy.

 

John will be sadly missed by his daughter Mary & son John, his daughter-in-law Stephanie, grandsons Harry & Tommy, his sisters; Mary (Joey) & Roseanne (Hugh), brother Michael (Peggy), nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours & friends.

Reposing at Smith’s Funeral Home, High St. Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, (N41 TD62) this Saturday evening, January 24th, from 6pm until 8pm.

Funeral Mass at 12 noon on Sunday, January 25th, at St. Mary's Church, Aughnasheelin (N41 HR04) followed by private cremation at the Lakelands Crematorium.
