John Lawlor

John Lawlor, Rathcline, Lanesborough, Co. Longford and formerly of Dominic Street, Portumna, Co. Galway, passed away peacefully on the 20th March 2026, surrounded by his loving family in the Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar after a short illness. Predeceased by his brothers Eamon and Gerard and his sister Bridie.

John is deeply regretted by his loving wife Una (nee Murphy), son's Shane, Ronan, Odhran and Evin, his daughter's in law Coleen, Carmel, Tara and Tara, his loving grandchildren, Cormac, Niamh, Imogen, Oisin and Isaac. His brother's Noel and Brendan, his sister's Kathleen and Marie, his sister-in-law Sheila, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at his home, Rathcline, Lanesborough, Co Longford (N39 TE52) from 4pm to 7pm on Sunday 22nd March 2026. Requiem Mass on Monday 23rd March at 12 noon in St. Mary's Church, Lanesborough, (N39 TN99) burial afterwards in Clonbonny Cemetery.
