John Lennon, B.E., MIEI, 10 Earlsvale Road, Cavan. Former Ballinagh Area Engineer, Cavan County Council. (Wednesday March 16th.), peacefully, at home, in his 89th year, in the devoted care of his family. Following many illnesses borne with quiet acceptance. Predeceased by his parents James and Helen, Lisameen, Moatefarrell, Co. Longford, his brothers Jim and Eugene and his nephew Jimmy (New Jersey). John will be greatly missed and forever remembered with love by his wife Anne, daughter Elaine, son Gavin (Lynne) his cherished granddaughter Grace and grandson Jake, his brother Enda (New Jersey), sisters Veronica Lennon (London) and Anne King (Dublin): nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law Irene and Bernadette, the extended Murray family, former colleagues in Cavan County Council, Irish Land Commission, Longford County Council, the Crown Service, Maiduguri, Nigeria, many friends, good neighbours, devoted carers and his former golf buddies.

Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan on Friday evening from 5pm until 7pm. For the protection of all, please wear a mask, no hand shakes and observe social distancing guidelines. Requiem Mass to give thanks for John's long life will take place at 12 noon on Saturday, March 19th, in the Cathedral of St. Patrick & Felim, Cavan, followed by removal to Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan.
