John passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the care of the doctors, nurses and staff at the Mater Hospital. Beloved husband of Lola and loving father of Philip, Paul and Seán. He will be very sadly missed by his wife, sons, treasured grandchildren Ava, Olivia, Sarah, Mark, Sophia and Emma, his daughters-in-law Amanda, Geraldine and Natalie, sister Margaret and brothers Alfie and Martin, extended family, neighbours and friends.

John will be reposing in the Garden Chapel, within the Fanagan-Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand, Dublin 3 on Friday (15th August) between 4.00 pm and 6.00pm.

 

John’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday (16th August) at 10.00am in the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, Griffith Avenue, Marino, Dublin 9. He will be laid to rest thereafter in Glasnevin Cemetery.
