Mackey: Curraghmore, Saltmills, New Ross, Co. Wexford & formally of Ballycroney, Glenmore, Co. Kilkenny 28th June 2025. John passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his infant children Michelle & Kieran and sister Joan.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Margaret, children Colm, Alan, Maria & Vinny, grandchildren Rachel, Ruby, Ailbhe, Darragh, Siofra, Senan, Eabha, Kieran & Rían, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, sister Kitty, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing in Doyle's Funeral Home The Old Rectory Rosbercon, New Ross from 4pm Monday 30th June concluding with prayers at 7pm.

Funeral to arrive at St. Martin's Church Ballycullane for 12noon Requiem Mass on Tuesday 1st July followed by burial in Ballycullane Cemetery.

John was a 9 time national race walking champion, former Irish International Athlete and record holder.
