John Maher

John Maher (Walshestown, Mullingar, Co Westmeath and Laghey, Co Donegal) – March 9, 2024 (peacefully) in the company of his loving family following a brief illness at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin.

A dearly loved partner, son and brother; John will be very sadly missed and forever remembered by his heartbroken family, his partner and best friend Catriona (Doherty), his parents Martin and Geraldine, brother Alan and sister Susan, extended family and the Doherty family, his many friends and clubmates in Shandonagh GAA Mullingar and Naoimh Bríd GAA Laghey.

MAY JOHN’S GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home Mullingar (N91 K660) on Wednesday from 4 pm to 6.30 pm followed by Removal to the Church of the Assumption Walshestown arriving at 7 pm.
John’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
