John McAuliffe

The death has occurred of John McAuliffe, Tullybracky, Bruff, Co. Limerick, formerly of Knockainey who passed away peacefully at The University Hospital Limerick surrounded by his family on Saturday, 10th May 2025.

Beloved husband of Mai, adored father to Anne and Carmel. Sadly missed by his sister Doreen, son-in-law Andrew, grandchildren Sophie, Seán, Rory and Daragh. Predeceased by his brothers Denis, Willie and Richard, sister Joan, son-in-law Oliver and grandson Tom.

He was always kind, gentle and a man of his word. He will be sadly missed by all.

John will be reposing this Tuesday evening, 13th May, at Ss. Peter and Paul's Church, Bruff from 5:30pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday morning, 14th May, at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the nurses, doctors, carers and catering staff of Ward 3A, University Hospital Limerick for the exceptional care shown to John every day of the eight weeks he was in their care.
