John McDermott

The death has occurred of John McDermott of Faranoo, Ballina, Co. Mayo and formerly of Enniscrone, Co. Sligo.

 

Peacefully at Mayo Roscommon Hospice following a short illness surrounded by his family.

 

John predeceased by his baby daughter Deirdre, his parents Michael and Mary, brother Eddie, brothers-in-law Mike McGowan and Jerry Reynolds.

 

Beloved husband of Mary and dear father of Louise (Shrule), Michael (Ennis), Ronan (Calgary), and Brian (Galway). He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, daughter, sons, grandchildren Ben and Jack, daughter-in-law Ira, Ronan’s partner Alicia, Louise’s partner Pat, sisters Maura McGowan, and Carmel Reynolds, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, and friends.

Reposing at McGowan’s Funeral Home, Ballina (Eircode F26 V274) on Sunday evening 17th March from 5:00pm to 6:30pm.

Funeral will arrive to St Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina for Requiem Mass on Monday morning at 11:30am with funeral proceeding to St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Kilglass, Enniscrone for burial.
