peacefully on the 20th of January 2026, in the wonderful care of the staff of wards 12A and 8D UHL surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Séamus and Lily, his sister Peggy, brother Michael and brother-in-law Michael McDonagh.

John will be sadly missed by his loving wife Agnes (née Flaherty), son Ronan, daughters Marie (Ward) and Eimear (Burrell), daughter-in-law Lisa, sons-in-law Niall and Wayne, grandchildren Diarmuid, Clíodhna, Aoibhinn, Aoife, Róisín, Sinéad, Seán, Clodagh and Keelin, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Our Lady and St. Michael's Church, Ennistymon on Thursday 22nd of January 2026 from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral mass will take place on Friday the 23rd of January at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in the New Cemetery, Ennistymon. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Parkinson's Ireland.
