John Melvin

John Melvin, 10th August 2024, Curradrish Road, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, formerly of Lacken, Enniscrone, Co. Sligo, retired member, An Garda Siochana, Castlebar, peacefully in the loving care of the staff in the Carra Suite, Sacred Heart Hospital, Castlebar, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Predeceased by his parents John and Mary, brother Martin and sister Mary (Hennessy).

 

John will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his heartbroken wife Teresa of fifty years, his sons Shane and Damian, daughter-in-law Laragh, brothers Padraig, Michael (Lacken, Enniscrone), Jerry (Whitegate, Cork), Eamon (Gort, Co. Galway), Brendan (Salthill, Galway) and sister Chris (Kilgannon), (Frankford, Enniscrone), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and
neighbours.

 

May he rest in peace.

 

John will repose at Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlebar, F23 XY63, on Monday (12th August) from 5pm with removal at 7pm to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, F23 WV62.

 

Requiem Mass on Tuesday afternoon at 1pm.

 

John will be laid to rest afterwards in Castlebar New Cemetery.
