John (Molly) Malone

Drumcondra, Dublin

MALONE John (Molly) (Drumcondra, Dublin 9) – 27th September 2022, (peacefully), surrounded by his loving family, in the tender care of St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine, loving father of Claire and Niall. He will be very sadly missed by his daughter, son, grandchildren Dylan, Maverick and Teddi, son-in-law Paddy, daughter-in-law Ger, sisters and brothers, neighbours, the extended Malone family, former colleagues at the Westbury Hotel and his many friends.

There will be a gathering at the family home from 3.00pm to 7.00pm on Saturday (1st October) and Sunday (2nd October). Funeral cortège arriving at Corpus Christi Church, Homefarm Road, Drumcondra for Funeral Mass on Monday (3rd October) at 10.00am. John will be laid to rest afterwards with his beloved Lorraine in Dardistown Cemetery.

The Malone family wish to express their sincerest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff in St. Elizabeth’s Ward at the Mater Private Hospital, especially Dr. Kieran O’Malley and all the staff at St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown for the care and compassion shown to John and the family during his illness. They also wish to thank John’s friends and neighbours, all of whom have been so kind and supportive to him over the years.

 

Donations, in John’s memory and in recognition of the exceptional care he received in their care, may be made to St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown.
