John Mongey

The death has occurred of John Mongey, Claregalway and formerly of Athenry, Co, Galway.

Predeceased by his father Tom and nephew baby Tom.

John, beloved son of Joan, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family, on the 20th of February 2026.

Deeply missed by his loving mother Joan, his sisters Georgina, Andrea, Attracta and Adrienne, his brothers in-law Michael, Kevin, Rhys and Diarmuid, his nephews Tomás, William, Conor, Seamus, his extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Quinn's Funeral Home, Athenry on Sunday 22nd February from 6pm. Removal at 7pm to the Church of The Assumption, Athenry. Funeral Mass on Monday 23rd February at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in the New Cemetery Athenry. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on https://www.churchmedia.tv/st-marys-parish-1 and can be listened to on the Parish radio 106.5fm.
