John Murphy

On May 24th, 2025, in the presence of his loving family at his residence, in his 92nd year, unexpectedly but peacefully, John, dearly beloved husband of Mary (née Hourihan), loving father of William, Eugene, John, Carmelita (O' Sullivan) and the late Anne Marie. Grandfather of John, Erin, Diarmuid, Sean, Liam and Danny, dear son of the late William and Annie (née Power) loving brother of Denis and Aidan and the late Billy, Mossie, Joe, Michael and Eily.
Deeply mourned by his loving wife and family, son-in-law Noel, daughters-in-law Siobhan and Joan, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home. Chapel Street, Bantry on Sunday May 25th from 5pm to 7pm with vigil prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Monday May 26th at 12noon at St Finbarr’s Church, Bantry (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
