Who passed away peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway on Friday 30th January 2026.
Predeceased by his Father Andrew, Mother Anne, sisters Bridie, Annie (Coughlan), Dympna (Hynes) and brother Gabriel.
John will be sadly missed by his loving brother Tommy and sister Mary McCarthy (UK), nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, extended family, neighbours, carers and his many friends.
John will lie in repose in Kilboy’s funeral home Loughrea (H62 KF63) on Monday 2nd February from 5 – 7pm.
John’s funeral cortege will arrive to St. Dympna’s Church, Kilnadeema on Tuesday 3rd February for Requiem Mass at 2.30 pm, followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.
John’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to all their extended family, neighbours & friends for all their kindness and help, at this very sad time.
