The death has occurred of
John O’ Mahony
John O’ Mahony, Coonagh, Road, Clondrinagh, Limerick and late of Cloughoulabeg, Millstreet, Co. Cork. 9th March, 2026, following a long illness bravely borne, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.
His varied career spread from being a Garda in William Street, a Steeplejack installing radomes in over 80 different countries, radome manufacturing in Esso Collins, Kilkishen to building a golf course in Clonlara, Co. Clare.
Beloved husband and best friend for 60 years of Angela and dearly loved father of Susan, John, Martina and Hilda. Sadly missed by his loving sons-in-law Seamus, Ian and Noely, grandchildren, brothers Tommy, Timmy, Donie, sisters Sheila, Nora-Mary, Mary and Breda, nephews, nieces, extended family, work colleagues, neighbours and friends.
May he Rest in Peace.
Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Thursday 12th March from 5pm to 6.30pm followed by Removal to St. Joseph’s Church, O’Connell Avenue, Limerick.
Requiem Mass on Friday 13th March at 1.30pm with burial afterwards in Truagh Cemetery, Truagh, Co. Clare.
House private. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.
