John O'Connell

O’CONNELL, John (Derrinturn, Co. Kildare and formerly of Lucan, Co. Dublin) Passed away peacefully, November 21st, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at Mullingar Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Lily), dear father of Susan, Jean, Lynsey and the late Colette and a devoted grandad of Carraígh, Aoife, Sean, Henry, Sam, Daniel and Jennifer.

Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law Noel, Chris, Agnis and Robert, brother and sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Lucan on Tuesday evening (November 25th) between 6pm and 8pm.

Removal on Wednesday morning (November 26th) to St. Patrick’s Church, Esker arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in Esker Cemetery.
