It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of John O’Connor, Oaklawn, Fermoy Road, Kildorrery, Co. Cork and formerly of Scart, Kildorrery, who passed away on 20th April 2026, in the loving care of the staff of Fermoy Community Hospital.

 

Predeceased by his parents Dermot and Breda, his brothers Gerard and Pat, and his brother-in-law Liam Collins.

 

Much loved brother of Elizabeth, David, Marie (Collins), Eileen (Horgan), Paul, Anne, Michael and Theresa (O’Leary). Sadly missed by his loving family, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Lying in repose in the Chapel of Peace, Hannon’s Funeral Home, Kildorrery (P67 H971), on Tuesday, 21st April, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
Reception on Wednesday, 22nd April, into St. Bartholomew’s Church, Kildorrery for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, after which John will be laid to rest in the local cemetery.
