John, unexpectedly at St Vincent's Hospital, Merrion, Dublin. Predeceased by his father Kevin, devoted mother Mary and brother Gerry. Deeply regretted by his sisters Lucy and Edel, brothers Kevin, Finian and Thomas, his aunt Teresa, his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours and friends in Merrion, Ballinabrackey/Kinnegad, in the National Council for the Blind, the National League of the Blind, colleagues and friends in the Department of Social Welfare.

May John Rest in Peace

John's Requiem Mass will be celebrated in the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace, 230 Merrion Road, Dublin 4, on Friday (28th May) at 10am. Due to Covid restrictions, attendance at the Mass is limited to family and close friends (max 50 people). The Mass will be livestreamed at https://www.merrionroadchurch.ie/live-webcam/. Burial afterwards in St Finian's Cemetery, Clonard, Co. Meath, at 12.30pm (approximately). People in attendance are requested to observe social distancing at all times.
