John O’Donnell

The death has occurred of John O’Donnell Ballyhaught, Effin, Kilmallock and formerly of the Coombs, Ardpatrick, Kilmallock, Co. Limerick in his 81st year. John passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the exceptional care of the staff of St. Martha’s Nursing Home, Charleville, Co. Cork on the 21st of January 2026.

Pre-deceased by his parents Michael and Josephine, his brothers Patrick and James and his nephew Seán.

John will be missed by his loving sisters Mary and Eileen and his brothers Edmund, Michael and Christopher, sisters in law Mary, Barbara, Lily and Eileen, his adored nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, great grandniece and great grandnephew, cousins, relatives, neighbours, and many friends.

May his kind and gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at McCarthys Funeral Home, Kilfinane (V35 Y8P8) between 6pm and 8pm on Friday 23rd of January 2026. Removal from his sister Mary’s house, (house private), on Saturday 24th of January for 12pm mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Ardpatrick, Co. Limerick. (V35 A524) followed by burial in Kilquane Cemetery, Effin, Co. Limerick.
