John Oliver Regan

John Oliver Regan died peacefully on January 22nd 2025, surrounded by his loving family, in Bantry General Hospital, following an illness bravely borne. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (née O’Regan). Loved son of the late Kathleen and John. Deeply loved father of Edel, Olivia, Marguerite, Janice, Claire and Seán. Cherished grandfather of Saoirse, Caitlin, Lauren, Holly, Cillian and Emily. Dear brother of Denis, Rosarie, Donal, Joseph, Imelda, Gerard, Regina and the late Mary. Sadly missed by his family, sons-in-law Jerry, Micheál and Edward, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, kind neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Reunited with Margaret, may he Rest in Peace.

John's family would like to acknowledge the great care and kindness received from Dr. Paul O’ Sullivan and the doctors and staff at Bantry General Hospital.

Reposing at his home (Eircode; P75 TY20) on Friday Jan. 24th from 5pm to 8pm with vigil prayers at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday Jan. 25th at 2.30pm at St Finbarr’s Church, Bantry (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in the Abbey Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired, to the Friends of Bantry General Hospital, c/o Bantry General Hospital.
