John Patrick O'Brien

John Patrick O’Brien, age 91, formerly of Monard, Turloughmore, Co. Galway and Columbus, Ohio went home to be with the Holy Spirit on January 24, 2024. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Brenda, his brother Jimmy and sister May. Survived by his children, Jarlath, Dee, Joanie and Vincent, grandchildren, his brothers Father Gus O’Brien, Vincent O’Brien of Monard, Turloughmore, Galway, sister Mae Mannion (deceased) Glenamaddy as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family in Ireland. We were blessed to have had him in our lives and find comfort knowing he is at peace. It is impossible to describe all that he meant to our family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1088Thomas Lane, Columbus, OH 43220. A private burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in his memory to St. Timothy Memorial Fund,1088 Thomas Lane Columbus, OH 43220 or in John’s name.
