John Patrick Ormsby

The death has occurred of John Patrick Ormsby, Finglas, Dublin. Formerly of Temple Street, on February 8th 2025. Peacefully at Ashley and John's home in Kildare, in the warm and loving care of his wife and family. Beloved husband of Rita and cherished father of Ashley and Cathy. Johnny will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, children, grandchildren, Dayne, Casey, Devin, Tori, Harri and Hayden, son-in-law John, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, Godson Jason, extended family, neighbours, friends and all who knew and loved him.

 

Forever in our hearts.

 

Now Returned to his beloved mother Elizabeth, father Patrick, and siblings May, Paddy, Betty, Frank, Laurence and Pauline. His love and light will guide us always.

John will be reposing in Doyle’s Funeral Home, Main Street, Finglas this Thursday evening from 4 pm to 6 pm. Requiem Mass on Friday morning the 14th of February 2025 in St Canice’s Church, Finglas at 10 am, followed by committal in Glasnevin Crematorium at 11.30 am. John's Family would like to extend their sincere gratitude for all of the diligent, professional and kind care he received from the St Brigid's, Community Palliative Care services, especially Nurses Muriel and Angela. Community care nurses Ann and Irene. Irish Cancer Society Night Nurses, Emer and Tracey.

 

Also to Chris and all the staff in McCabe's pharmacy Finglas, who have gone above and beyond in their work and kindness, supporting us through this difficult time. To Father Michael who has been a great friend and spiritual support. To our local community in Kildare, GP, Dr Ligia Gherlea and her team. The O’Neill Family for their deep respect and dedication to their work.
