John passed away peacefully at Cabrini Nursing Home, Westchester, New York on Monday 29th September 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He is pre-deceased by his wife Sheila Phelan (Nee Flynn Ballyduff Upper), brothers Jim, Paddy and, sister Nuala.
Sadly missed by his loving daughters Patricia and Gerry, sons John, Vinny and Thomas, his 13 Adoring Grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law.
Sadly Mourned by his brother Tom Phelan (Dungarvan), sisters Ann Hughes (Cavan) and Bríd Power (Dublin), sister-in-laws and brother-In-laws, nephews and nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

on Friday evening October 3rd.
Funeral Mass Sat October 4th at Saint Peter’s Church, Riverdale Ave, Yonkers, New York
Months mind Mass will be held in St. Helena's Church, The Nire
on Sunday morning 02nd November at 11am.
