John Scanlon

Scanlon (River Meadows, Kinsale and late of O'Loughlan Road, Kilkenny) on April 8th 2026, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Kinsale Community Hospital and surrounded by love. John, beloved husband of Nuala (nee Carroll) and dear father of John and Jane. Predeceased by his brothers Peter, Michael, Paddy (Rusty) and Oliver.

Sadly missed by his loving wife, adored children, grandchildren Anna, McKinley, Finn, Jack, Sam and Molly, daughter-in-law Devon, son-in-law Ger, brother and sisters Raymond, Margaret and Barbara, extended family, nephews, nieces, neighbours and friends.

John will be lying in repose at Gabriel and O'Donovan's Funeral Home, Kinsale (eircode P17WC61) on Sunday from 5pm followed by prayers at 6pm. (Parking is available in Supervalu Car Park by kind permission - max 2 hours).

Requiem Mass on Monday at 12.30pm in St. John the Baptist Church, Kinsale which will be livestreamed on www.churchservices.tv/kinsale followed by Cremation in The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy.

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Kinsale Community Hospital.
