John (Séan) Clohessy

Late of Guileen. It is with deep sadness we announce the death of John, late of Youghal Carpets and president of Mayfield GAA, on the 28th of February 2025, who passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the Doctors, nurses and staff of the Cardiac Unit at the CUH. John, adored husband of Rita (née O’ Riordan), Cherished father of Pat, Michelle, Sean, Marjorie, Jim and brother to the late Pat.

Sadly missed by his loving family, grandchildren, Aoife, Ruairi, Ellen, Jack, Alex, Shaunagh, and Eimear, daughters-in-law Deirdre, Jacqui, and Eileen, sons-in-law, Mark, Eamonn, sister Eileen, sister-in- law, Arron, Emily, nieces, nephews extended family, great neighbours and large circle of friends.

Lying in repose in Keohane’s Funeral Home, Knights Hill, Old Youghal Rd, Mayfield, Cork, Sunday 2nd of March, from 3-4pm with prayers at 3:45pm. Requiem Mass on Monday, 3rd of March, at the Church Of Our Lady Crowned, Mayfield at 1:00pm, which will be live streamed here followed by burial in Rathcooney Cemetery.
