John (Sean) Connaughton

The death has taken place of John (Sean) Connaughton, retired Garda Siochana, Sandfield, Ardara, Co. Donegal and formerly of Roscommon and Dublin, suddenly, but peacefully, at home. Dearly beloved husband of Maura. Much loved father of Anne, Niall, Donal and Enda, grandchildren Paul, Annmarie, Sarah, Darragh, Sean and Liam, daughters-in-law Aileen, Miriam and Rosie, brother Michael, sisters Nora and Ita, pre-deceased by his brother Stephen, sisters Nellie and Sue, son-in-law Ken. Also deeply regretted by his nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

His remains will be reposing at Shovlin's Funeral Home, Sandfield, on Wednesday evening from 3.30pm, followed by removal to St Conal's  Church, Kilclooney, ariving at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 1.30pm, with private cremation on Friday at 1pm in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. House private to family and close friends, please.
