John Seary

Formerly of Shantalla and Bohermore, Galway

On Wednesday the 27th of August 2025, John passed away very peacefully at University Hospital Galway, in the loving care of the staff of St. Joseph's Ward.

Predeceased by his parents Mary and James Seary.

John is deeply loved and will be sadly missed by Mary and Caitriona, brother Martin, cousins - especially John Dolan, his work colleagues at University Hospital Galway, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing in Irwin's Funeral Home, Bothar Irwin, Galway (H91 CK84) on Friday the 29th of August from 5.30pm. Removal at 7pm to St. Patrick's Church, Forster Street, Galway (H91 FP84). Requiem Mass for John will take place on Saturday the 30th of August at 11.30am. Funeral afterwards to The New Cemetery, Bohermore.

A sincere thank you to Dr. Greg Leonard and his team, especially Dr. Faizal Faud, for the exceptional care that they showed towards John over the last number of weeks.

Parking: There is ample parking available at The Corrib Shopping Centre Multi-Story Car Park (H91 DP6R) which is only 2 minutes walk to/from the funeral home. The entrance to the car park is from Bóthar Na mBan. Please note that this car park will close at 9pm on Friday evening.
