John Sexton

Sexton (Sun View, Courtmacsherry) On January 13th 2025, John passed away peacefully, in the exceptional care of the staff at Care Choice Nursing Home, Clonakilty. Beloved husband of Betty (nee Kearney), and dear father of Rosemarie (Murphy), Kevin, John, Micheal, Tomás, Elizabeth (Harrington) and Olive (Healy), brother of the late Fr. Michael O.S.A., Lawrence, Sr. Mary Monica (Good Shepherd), Peggy, infant sister Eileen and nephew Kieran.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his brother Fr. Tom O.S.A., sister-in-law Joan, daughters-in-law, Mary, Joan, Marie, Nicola and sons-in-law Anthony, John and Joe, grandchildren, Ailbhe, Tomás, Clodagh, Fergal, David, Claire, Colm, Carolanne, Michael, Conor, Elizabeth May, Cara, Cian, Tadhg, Sarah, Michael, GraceAnn, Heather, Joshua, Killian and Robyn, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Holland’s Funeral Home, Barryroe (P72FY88) Tuesday, January 14th, from 4pm to 6pm and Wednesday January 15th, from 5pm to 7pm followed by prayers which will be said at 7pm. Requiem mass Thursday, January 16th, Sacred Heart Church, Courtmacsherry (P72 W259) at 12 noon followed by burial afterwards at Timoleague Abbey.
