John Shanahan

John Shanahan, Inchinvima, Farranfore Co Kerry and formerly of Moyvane Co Kerry.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on the 6th of December 2025 in the wonderful care of Palliative Care, University Hospital Kerry.

John is predeceased by his parents, brothers Brendan and Patrick. Sister in law Helen.

John will be sorely missed by his heartbroken wife Mary (Slattery). Cherished father of Ethna, Kieran, Barry, Brian, Rory and Orla. John will be sadly missed by his daughters in law Miriam, Caroline and Annika, sons in law Tom Murphy and Mark Balmer. Adored Grandfather of Alicia, Darragh, Oisin, Liam, Kiara, lily, Clodagh, Annie, Pipa, Deirbhile, Rose, Rian and Caoimhe.

MAY JOHN REST IN PEACE

Reposing at his residence on Monday evening from 4pm to 8pm.

Remains arriving at the The Church of St Gertrude at10.50am on Tuesday for mass at 11am.

Family flowers only please. Donation in lieu to Palliative Care, University Hospital Kerry.

Burial afterwards in Ardcrone Cemetery, Currans.
